Jennifer Duncalf – Lay worker for St Johns, Conwy

Hello, my name is Jennifer Duncalf, and I am the Lay
community worker for St John’s Conwy. I have been in post since September, and
it’s been a privilege being part of the family here and getting to know the
community and the church.

I was born in Bethesda
and brought up in Bangor where I went to school and trained as a teacher,
I gained a B.Ed. and a Masters in ALN and Outdoor Learning whilst bring up my
family.

I lived in Bethesda for most of my adult life, I am Welsh
speaking and enjoy the Welsh heritage and culture.

My husband and I now live in Penmachno ( near Betws y coed )
where we have and art studio. I enjoy arts and crafts of all sorts but mainly
work with wool , felting, weaving and crochet are my favourites.

We have 7 children and 7 grandchildren; they are spread
around the country !

I worked as a teacher for many years and then worked as a
children and families ministry enabler for 7 years during which I gained a
certificate in Pioneer Ministry with Cardiff Baptist College. I enjoy starting new initiatives and
supporting current ones.

I have joined the Messy Church team and the Toddler group
team and have many ideas in a pot which I am working on with the leadership
team and the church family.

We are looking forward to what we can do together.
